Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Benny Gantz and soldiers of the army have released a special greeting to mark the IDF's 65th anniversary.
Paying tribute to the army he leads, Gantz said: "In 65 years of the IDF's existence we have changed from a collection of individuals, alumni of the underground, new immigrants and Holocaust survivors, to a fighting organization prior to the creation of the state, and from there to a consolidated and skilled army."
