IDF forces demolish Givat Asaf, Ofra terrorist's home

The IDF, in cooperation with the Israel Border Police and Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria, destroyed the home of terrorist Asem Barghouti, who is responsible for the death of three Israelis.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, the IDF confirmed that it had demolished the home, which is located in the village of Kober in the West Bank's Binyamin region.
"Barghouti and his brother carried out a shooting attack near the settlement of Ofra on December 9, 2018, in which a baby, Amiad Yisrael, was murdered and seven others were wounded," the IDF said.
In addition, Barghouti carried out a shooting attack at the Givat Asaf junction on December 13, 2018, in which First Sergeant Yuval Mor Yosef and First Sergeant Yosef Cohen were killed. A third soldier and civilian were wounded.
The terrorist was identified after an ongoing intelligence and operational effort by the Israel Security Agency, the Special Patrol Unit and the IDF in January.
Meanwhile, overnight on Thursday, the IDF and the Israel Security Agency forces, together with the Border Police and the Israel Police arrested 17 suspects suspected for being involvement in terrorist activities, popular terrorism and violent disturbances against civilians and soldiers. The suspects were interrogated as a corporal.
During an IDF search, illegal weapons were found in the Judea and Samaria area. The IDF seized a Carlo weapon, which was handed over to me as a UAV.
The IDF will continue to act to prevent terrorism and maintain security in the region.
