An IDF task force was fired at on Thursday while carrying out routine security activities near the security fence along the Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported, but a military vehicle suffered light damages as a result of the fire.

Unconfirmed reports claimed later that the IDF retaliated with artillery shells, targeting the spot in the northern part of the Strip where the fire emanated from.
