Over 17 fires blazed in KKL-JNF-managed land near the Gaza border on Saturday, as a result of incendiary kites and balloons launched into Israel by Palestinians in Gaza.

KKL-JNF staff, together with national firefighters and teams from the Nature and Parks Authority were working together to put out the fires in the Be’eri, Shokeda and Kisufim forests.

According to a Channel 10, there was an additional fire in Kibbutz Or Haner, which was put out by nine teams of fire fighters and four firefighting planes.
