Jewish-American author Ed Kritzler passed away on Monday aged 69 after a long bout of cancer and surgeries.

He is the author of the acclaimed non-fiction book "Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean," an international best seller translated into five languages.

“A professional PR man, Eddie could sell anything to anyone. His charm, intelligence, intensity, engaging personality and looks draw others into his web…The man knows how to spin! But when it comes to Judaism, Israel, and politics, Eddie will never sugar coat his opinions,” Becca Freedman Gorenstein, Kritzler’s niece, wrote in his memory.
