The Local Planning and Construction Committee in Jerusalem is planning to meet Monday to discuss beginning construction for 942 housing units in Gilo, Israel Radio reported.

The municipality said that the land mentioned is privately owned and that the owners have requested to build according to the aforementioned construction and existent law.

The committee also said that the municipality is advancing construction for Arabs and Jews alike.
