Kassam explodes near Ashkelon, 1 moderately injured

A woman in her 50s was moderately wounded Monday night after a Kassam rocket exploded in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council.

The woman was hit by shrapnel in the lower part of her body and was transferred by an MDA crew to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.

An alarm sounded off in the area before the rocket exploded.
