WASHINGTON- Secretary of State John Kerry discussed Iran with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a weekend telephone call and reaffirmed the US commitment to Israel's security, the State Department said on Tuesday.

State Department spokesman John Kirby said Kerry and Netanyahu also spoke about reports of Russian activity in the region and pledged continued cooperation.
