US Secretary of State John Kerry was reportedly weighing a visit to the region on Monday to extend a diplomatic push for continued Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

According to American sources, the top US diplomat spoke from Paris with Prime Minister Binyaman Netanyahu by phone on Sunday, Israeli media reported.

Last week, Kerry met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas while in Jordan.
