Labor MK Daniel Ben-Simon Wednesday called on his party's chairman, Ehud Barak, to accept responsibility for the failure in handling the flotilla and step down as defense minister.

Speaking on Israel Radio's morning show Ben-Simon said the failure was a matter of statecraft and world view, rooted in the concept that the Gaza Strip must be locked down at all costs, an idea that needs to be publicly discussed.
