A Labor Party lawmaker submitted a complaint to police in response to a right-wing social media user who posted images of him in a Nazi SS uniform.

Miki Rosenthal, the former journalist who entered politics and won a seat in parliament during the 2013 elections, wants to press charges against someone who goes by the name Asher Yako.

Facebook and Twitter accounts bearing that name posted doctored images of Rosenthal decked out in Nazi paraphernalia.

The social media accounts indicate that Yako is a supporter of the right-wing NGO Im Tirtzu, a controversial organization that has waged a public campaign denouncing progressive groups such as New Israel Fund, Breaking the Silence, B’Tselem, and others.
