Landslide hits S.Korea mountain resort, at least 6 dead

SEOUL - A landslide caused by torrential rain crashed into a South Korean mountain resort east of Seoul early on Wednesday, destroying four buildings and killing at least six people, local media reports said.
Rescue workers were still trying reach six people believed trapped in the buildings, and 26 people were taken to a nearby hospital, Yonhap news agency reported.
The landslide, which occurred just after midnight near the Soyang River Dam in Chuncheon about 100 km (62 miles) east of Seoul, destroyed a pension and three homes.
The six killed in the pension were all college students who were doing volunteer work in the area, reports said.
