Finance Minister Yair Lapid on Monday rejected MK Avigdor Liberman's assertion that Israel should consider reoccupying the Gaza Strip, but said that the leadership in Gaza must know that they will be held responsible if rocket fire continues.

Speaking at a Yesh Atid faction meeting, Lapid said that Israel is responsible for the security of its citizens and "will not sit idly by" if rocket attacks continue.
