MKs discuss 'Mofaz Law,' agree to limit Knesset debate to 45 hours

MKs were discussing the hotly-contested 'Mofaz Law' in the Knesset on Tuesday evening, and the coalition and opposition came to an agreement to limit the debate to 45 hours. The bill, that would allow seven MKs to split from their party even if they constitute less than a third of its lawmakers, passed its first reading on Monday The Knesset's summer session is set to end Wednesday at 2 p.m. due to the Tisha Be'Av fast, and if the debate doesn't end by then, the Knesset will convene for a special recess session on Monday, pushing off the debate on the controversial land reform bill, which is also scheduled for that day
