The Jerusalem Winner Marathon was named one of the Ten Best International Spring Races in the most recent issue of the British Women's Running Magazine. However, the article recommends the 10k race, which captures the history of Jerusalem while avoiding the "fair few energy-sapping climbs" of the marathon's hilly route. The marathon, half-marathon, and 10k will take place this year on March 1.

Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat has strove for international recognition of the Jerusalem marathon in order to attract hard-core sports tourists.
