Magnitude 7.6 quake hits Kermadec islands region

LONDON - A magnitude 7.6 earthquake hit New Zealand's Kermadec Islands region late Friday night, the US Geological Survey said.

No tsunami warning was issued. The quake hit 112 miles east of Raoul island.
