Five residents of Majdal Shams were arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of involvement with the Naksa Day protests near the Syrian border. During the protests, some residents of the town threw rocks at security forces.

More than 20 suspects have been arrested in total by Galilee police officers, with nine being formally charged.
