6 years in jail for HIV-carrying man who raped wife

The Haifa District Court on Sunday sentence to six-years in prison a man in his 40s who was convicted for raping, threatening and unlawfully confining his wife, Israeli media reported.
The background for the man's actions were based on his wife's refusal to have sexual relations with him after learning that he carried the HIV virus.
According to a indictment, the accused revealed in 2004 that he carried the virus, Army Radio reported.
