A policeman in his twenties was shot on Sunday afternoon in the town of Ma'alot in the Galilee, and was evacuated to hospital in Nahariya in serious condition. From the initial investigation, it appears the policeman asked to see the ID of a suspicious-looking man, who refused to present his documents and went on to shoot him. Police are still searching the area for the shooter, who they believe is a known criminal.
