Friday, Israeli businessman Miki Ganor had agreed to become a state witness in the German submarine affair. Ganor, who is suspected of fraud, will pay a fine of nis ten million and serve one year in prison. He will remain in a police facility for the next two weeks and is forbidden to leave the country for 90 days. Ganor is suspected of bribing high ranking Israeli officials in order to promote a deal with the German shipbuilder ThyssenKrupp.
