MIRANSHAH, Pakistan - Around 150 heavily-armed militants attacked a security checkpost in Pakistan's volatile Waziristan region early on Thursday, killing eight soldiers, local intelligence officials said.Security forces killed at least 12 militants in retaliation, they said.
