Motorcyclist and passenger die in crash, police report

A motorcycle driver and passenger were killed on Sunday evening after crashing into a safety barrier on route 79 between Shefaram and the Movil Junction, Magen David Adom reported.

The deceased were both men in their 20's.

Police officers were were en route to direct drivers after a heavy traffic jam ensued following the fatal accident, police said.

The police added that another motorcycle duo that were driving near the crashed motorcycle during the time of the incident were placed under arrest and were being held for further questioning.

According to police, the crashed motorcycle burst into flames which were put out quickly by fire fighters who arrived on the scene.
