A motorcyclist was killed Friday afternoon when he smashed into a security barrier at the side of the road near Glilot on Route 5. A Magen David Adom paramedic said "when we came to the scene, the rider was laying on the road, unconscious with systemic injuries and no pulse. Following resuscitation attempts we pronounced him dead and bits of the scooter, which was a demonstration vehicle, were scattered all along the road."
