Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice held talks on Wednesday, covering a variety of issues. The PMO released a statement that the talks were "very friendly" and Netanyahu "thanked... Rice for the Obama administration's strong opposition to the Goldstone report and for her consistent support at the United Nations." The ambassador reiterated US commitment to Israel's security and the determination of the administration to "advance peace in the region," according to the statement.
