Dr. Yuval Weiss, who has for six years been director of Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem, has been named head of the medical division of the Health Ministry. He replaces Prof. Arnon Afek, who became director- general of the Health Ministry 10 days ago.

Weiss, a graduate of Ben-Gurion University’s Health Sciences Faculty and of the Hebrew University- Hadassah School of Public Health, will take up his post in July. He is married and a father of three and lives in Mevaseret Zion.
