WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama will set a goal of reducing the US deficit by $4 trillion in the next 12 years or less in a speech on Wednesday, a congressional source said.

His plan would curb the US deficit to 2.5 percent of GDP in 2015, and by 2 percent toward the end of the decade, the source said.
