One year old toddler forgotten in car dies in Betar Illit

A one year old toddler died Saturday after being forgotten in a closed vehicle for almost two hours in Betar Illit in Gush Etzion.

Upon discovery, the father immediately called medical services. Maagen David Adom paramedics performed emergency treatment on site and evacuated the toddler to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, in Jerusalem where she was later pronounced dead.

Since 2008, 22 children have died as result of being forgotten in vehicles.
