Organizers: Imams to partake in Holocaust awareness program

Fourteen Muslim religious leaders from around the world were scheduled to visit Poland and the site of the Auschwitz Nazi concentration camp next week as part of an initiative geared toward Holocaust and anti-genocide awareness, AFP cited organizers as saying on Friday.
The visiting imams were reportedly from Bosnia, India, Indonesia Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, the Palestinian territories, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the US.
"If we want the world to remember the horrors of the Holocaust so that neither genocide against the Jews, nor anyone else should ever happen again, then we have an obligation to have communal leaders understand what happened," Poland's Chief Rabbi Michael Schudrich was quoted as saying by AFP on Friday.
