PA: We'll turn to UN General Assembly to stop settlements

The Palestinian Authority on Saturday threatened that it will turn the UN General Assembly over the decision by the US to nix a UN resolution calling Israeli settlements “illegal” and demanding they be immediately halted.
"There is no American mediator in the peace process, so we have no choice but to appeal to the General Assembly, who will demand that settlement building stops,"  top PLO official Yasser Abed Rabbo said.
Abed Rabbo said the Palestinians will also discuss the possibility of submitting a request to the General Assembly to discuss recognition of Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with east Jerusalem as its capital.
