Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone on Friday, discussing Syria.
"I spoke with Putin on the phone today," Netanyahu wrote on his twitter account. "We discussed the situation in Syria and on the latest developments, and we have agreed upon a continued security coordination between our armies. I told Putin that Israel is committed in preventing Iran to establish militarily in Syria."
"I felicitated Putin and the Russian nation with a happy new year," Netanyahu concluded.
