Israeli Air Force fighter jets and UAV's attacked six Hamas positions Wednesday evening throughout the Gaza Strip with dozens of missiles, according to a Palestinian report.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's unit, "the IDF attacked terrorist targets belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the northern Gaza Strip. Four different targets were attacked in a military compound, including terrorist buildings and infrastructure. In addition, three additional targets were attacked at the weapons production facility."

"The attack was carried out in response to heavy machine gun fire on the city of Sderot and several shooting incidents against IDF soldiers during the day."

"The terrorist organization of Hamas is solely responsible for what is happening in and out of the Gaza Strip, and it will bear the consequences for the acts of terror carried out from Gaza against the citizens and sovereignty of Israel. The IDF is determined to continue its missions and to ensure security to the residents of Israel."
