A young woman, 25, was killed Friday morning in a hit and run accident on the corner of Pinkas and Weizmann streets in Tel Aviv.

She was crossing the street when a blue and white Jeep struck her, knocking her approximately 20 meters down the road into the oncoming lane, where a second vehicle struck her, killing her instantly.

Magen David Adom paramedics were called to the scene, where they found she had already succumbed to her wounds.

Police have opened an investigation into the incident and launched a manhunt for the driver of the blue and white Jeep that struck her and fled the scene.
