US Vice President Mike Pence condemns both 'extreme' sides of the ideological spectrum after violence in Chartlottesville, Virginia.

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence spoke on the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, during a news conference in Colombia on Sunday.

He said there is no tolerance for hate in the United States and condemned both 'extreme' sides of the ideological spectrum.

U.S. authorities opened an investigation into the deadly violence in Virginia, which put renewed pressure on the Trump administration to take an unequivocal stand against right-wing extremists occupying a loyal segment of the Republican president's political base.
