When someone is buried on the eve of a Jewish holy day, the seven day period of mourning (shiva) in which people pay condolence calls to the family, is usually reduced to just before the onset of the Holy Day.  Originally, the Peres family had intended to conclude its shiva on Sunday afternoon in time to get home for Rosh Hashana, but in view of the fact that so many hundreds of people came to pay  their respects at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation on Saturday night and throughout the day on Sunday, the family realized that many more would want to do so later in the week when not hampered time-wise by preparations for Rosh Hashana.

In consideration of such people, Tsvia and Rafi Walden, Sigal and Yoni Peres and Gila and Chemi Peres issued an announcement stating that they would be receiving condolence calls on Tuesday night and on Wednesday October 5 from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and on Thursday October 6 during the same time slots.

The Peres Center is located at 132 Kedem Street Jaffa.  People using public transport should take bus 10 from North Tel Aviv and 44 from South Tel Aviv and alight at Tzvi Tzur Street and walk in the direction of the sea.
