President Shimon Peres met with US President Barak Obama on Friday afternoon at the close of the Copenhagen talks, and requested of the American leader not to cease his efforts to reach peace in the Middle East. The two met during an event hosted by Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen.
