Former president Shimon Peres has been advised by doctors at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer to remain in the hospital for another day on Monday.

Peres, who was admitted to hospital for the second time in the last week on Sunday after he complained of chest pains, is listed in good condition.

Medical officials said they want to keep the 92-year-old former statesman under observation for the next 24 hours in order to determine the best course of medication to prescribe for his condition.
