Police on Thursday arrested an Acre resident suspected of placing an object, believed to be an explosive device, on a vehicle at the Nahariya open market.

Workers at the market observed the suspect attaching the object to the vehicle before fleeing the scene on an electric bicycle. They gave chase after the suspect, apprehending him, and calling police who then arrested the approximately 25-year-old man.

Police sappers were neutralizing the explosive device and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident was opened.
