Police arrest man suspected of raping 9-year-old daughter

Police in Afula arrested a man in his 40s on Wednesday on suspicion of raping his nine-year-old daughter.

Police acted on a tip received by social services. "The suspect has linked himself to the suspicion attributed to him during initial questioning," police said in a statement.

The man, who is married, has a number of children, and will appear before the Nazareth Magistrate's Court for an arraignment later today.
