Police questioning Netanya mayor on suspicion of bribery

Police on Wednesday were investigating Netanya Mayor Miriam Feirberg on suspicion of corruption charges.

The police Fraud Investigation Unit summoned Feirberg for questioning under caution on suspicion that she was involved in accepting illicit bribes. It was not initially clear whether police would request for an extension of her remand until the investigation was complete.
