Afula police were investigating a kindergarten teacher's assistant on Thursday after parents of a child at the school complained that their daughter was left and locked inside after closing.

The kindergarten is located in a village near Afula.  In a related matter, the Israeli Teachers Union decided that kindergartens across the country would open an hour late Thursday morning, in protest of the recent burning of a kindergarten and its teacher’s car.
