Police remove security checkpoint from Jabl Mukaber

Just over one month after a terrorist from the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabl Mukaber killed four soldiers and wounded 17 others in a truck-ramming attack in neighboring Armon Hanatziv, police on Monday removed a checkpoint from the Arab community.
“Security assessments were made, and this evening police removed road blocks at Jabel Mukaber,” said Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld. “During police and Border Police operations there since the attack, arrests were made against suspects involved in terrorism, and accused of attacking police with petrol bombs.”
Rosenfeld added: “Regular security measures continue in Jerusalem at public areas and throughout the different neighborhoods to prevent terror attacks.”
