Radical Salafist sheikh with ties to ISIS arrested by Hamas security services

A radical Salafist sheikh was arrested by Hamas-run security services Sunday for having alleged ties to ISIS militants.

"Adnan Khader Mayat from the Bureij refugee camp [in central Gaza] was arrested as part of an investigation," according to the a confidential source who spoke to AFP.

An additional source close to the Salafist movement in Gaza said Mayat had been arrested "by the Hamas government security services who fight mujahedeen who belong to the Salafist movement."
