Arab states have promised to provide the Palestinian Authority monthly subsidies of $100 million should Israel cut off tax revenue, the Ma'an news agency quoted Palestinian media as saying Sunday.
According to the report, Saeb Erekat said that the Doha-meeting of the Follow-up Committee for the Arab Peace Initiative approved the request from PA President Mahmoud Abbas to help insulate the Authority from revenue cut-offs.
Arab League Secretary Nabil Arabi is reportedly charged with following up on soliciting the payments from individual Arab countries.
