Report: Car bomb kills senior Syrian politician

A car bomb in a suburb of Damascus on Sunday killed a senior politician in the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, Al Jazeera cited Syrian media as reporting.

Anas Abdul-Razzaq Na'em ,the governor of the Syrian district of Hama reportedly died in the explosion along with another civilian. Syrian state TV blamed rebels for the attack, according to Al Jazeera.
