Egyptian military sources on Saturday reportedly said the evacuation was complete of border area between the Sinai and the Rafah crossing with Gaza.

According to Palestinian news agency Ma'an, the area, measuring 13 kilometers in length and 500 meters in width, had been cleared for a buffer zone between the peninsula the Palestinian territory as part of Cairo's fight against jihadist insurgents.
