Report: Palestinian prisoners agree to staggered release

Palestinian security prisoners who were detained before the Oslo Accords in 1993, have stated their willingness to be released in staggered phases, Israel Radio reported Wednesday.
The prisoners have reportedly conditioned that those prisoners who have been incarcerated for the longest amount of time be realsed first.
Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat has stated the PA will not depart for preliminary peace talks in Washington until his government receives assurances regarding Israel’s readiness to negotiate a deal based on the 1967 lines and a commitment to release prisoners, the pan-Arab daily newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday.
