The Israel Defense Forces attacked terrorist positions belonging to Hamas in the southern Gaza Strip using tank and air fire on Monday evening, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.

The attack was carried out in response to a rocket that was launched into Israel from Gaza and fell in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council.

The IDF considers the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for any fire that comes from the Gaza strip
