Tens of activists demonstrated for the release of the Israeli spy, Jonathan Polland, in front of the President's residence in Jerusalem on Wednesday.

The demonstrators called on President Shimon Peres to increase pressure for his release as US President Barack Obama's visit to Israel next month approaches.

Peres is currently meeting with the Republican Senator from Florida Mark Rubio. Rudio is one of the Republican party's prominent leaders, Israel Radio reported.
