Russia delivers $1.3 million humanitarian aid batch to Syria

Russia has delivered to Syria a humanitarian aid package valuing $1.3 million, Russian state news agency RIA Novosti cited the Foreign Ministry in Moscow as saying.

“A new batch of humanitarian aid was delivered to Damascus this week,” RIA Novosti quoted the ministry as saying in a statement. According to the report, the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society, based in St. Petersburg, collected the aid comprising of medical equipment, clothing and food goods.
