Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar will resign from the cabinet on Sunday and the Knesset on Monday. Sa'ar notified Cabinet Secretary Avichai Mandelblit of his decision on Thursday, over a month after he announced that he would be leaving politics to spend time with his family.

Communications Minister Gilad Erdan is expected to take Sa'ar's place, although he has yet to say yes to the job and is also mulling an offer from Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman to become Ambassador to the UN.
